Practical 5: GPS
Objective: To expose student about the GPS tools and to use GPS in producing a map

Activity;
1) Each group needs to understand the process of GPS work.
2) Watch the video on how to collect the GPS coordinates.

3) Install any coordinate apps from app store or android; examples;
Apple (Coordinates) or Android (Map Coordinates, Latitude Longitude).
4) Collect the position (x, y, altitude coordinate) for all groups members.
5) All the data collections should be recorded using Microsoft Excel and the format
of the data are as follows;

6) Map & Plot all the surveyed data in the proper size paper. You can use Autocad
or any mapping software (Google earth, Q-GIS, etc).
7) In the drawing/map, show the details information such as the value of coordinate
and observer name.
8) Each group should produce one report for GPS survey work.
9) The content of the report is;
a. Introduction d. Conclusion
b. Methodology e. References
c. Calculation
10) Submission date: before 10 June 2020
