MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING

between
GRADE VI PERSEVARNCE PARENTS’

School X in Victoria, Australia (full address of school) and School Y in (country & full address of
school), hereby agree to become sister schools in order to develop friendship and cooperation
between our two schools and promote mutual understanding and cultural awareness between
Victoria, Australia and (country).

SISTER SCHOOL PROGRAM GOALS

 To strengthen relationships, understanding and appreciation between people in (country)


and School xxxx in Victoria, Australia
 To increase cultural awareness and respect for each others cultures
 To provide opportunities for students and teachers to develop skills which enhance
Australia-(country) relationships
 To support the teaching of (language) in Victoria and English in (country) and to continue to
teach the languages in their respective schools
 To develop ties of friendship through regular communication
 To build an international perspective within the school.
 To develop students into citizens who are globally engaged, comfortable with diversity and
with the skills to operate effectively across cultures with different world views and belief
systems.

SISTER SCHOOL ACTIVITIES

Suggestions for activities that schools may wish to consider:

 Exchanges of information about curriculum, school policy and school events


 Exchange of teaching resources, course materials and teaching strategies
 Exchange of student work, email, letters, photos, student newspapers, etc to promote
mutual understanding
 Both schools will endeavour to maintain student, teacher and administrator exchange
programs to provide the opportunity to study, work and live in the sister school community
 Exchange of leadership development information between principals.
 Organizing pilot’ classes or groups of students in both countries to collaborate in curriculum
areas such as english, art/design etc through ICT-mediated communication.
 The inclusion of the studies of Asia into the humanities and english electives.
 involving the community through newsletters and websites and inviting parents to meet with
the visiting teachers.
 Starting a club for organiszing a trip overseas and fundraising.
 Starting an E Pen Pals sister school Club
 Convene a Working Party with representation across other curriculum areas to increase
involvement across the school and to progress the program.
 Use the college’s interactive portal (eg Wall-e) to enable students to post work, display and
discuss their work and communicate live with students from their sister school.
 provide video conferencing facilities which should be used for the development of
electronically supported relationships between both schools. This can include class
interaction and PD sessions.

 prepare a professional development program for the staff from your sister school on subjects
of interest eg student engagement, literacy, thinking curriculum; and
 investigate best practice in your sister school’s areas of expertise eg Maths and Science.

MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT
Grade VI Perseverance Parents’
Pedro Sa. Baculio Elementary School
This Memorandum of Agreement by Grade VI Perseverance Parents’ is made and entered into
on this 21st day of June, 2019, effective June 21, 2019 by and between:

1. PURPOSE & SCOPE.

The purpose of this Memorandum of Agreement is to set forth the terms and conditions, scope
of work and responsibilities of the parents associated with their collaboration on
CONTRIBUTION OF CLASSROOM PROJECT AND OTHER PERTAINING MATTERS.

2. BACKGROUND.

Parents of Grade VI Perseverance Section see the benefits of this project, have a desire to pursue
the project and have determined to accomplish the purpose and scope outlined above.

PandaTip: As stated in the first paragraph above, an MOA imposes certain legal obligations.
This section makes that perfectly clear. It is here that you want to state what each party’s
responsibilities will be in the partnership or cooperation.

3. TERMS AND CONDITIONS.

It is mutually understood and agreed by and between the parents and the teacher:

1. Parents takes financial responsibility for the agreed contribution for classroom project
purposes for conducive learning of the pupils.  Parents agrees to indemnify, defend and
hold harmless the other and to the school community.
2. This MOA may be amended from time to time by mutual agreement of the parents in a
written modification signed.
3. This MOA may be terminated by mutual agreement of the teacher and parents, and shall
automatically terminate upon completion of all responsibilities as stated herein, unless
otherwise amended.

4. CLASSROOM PROJECT; COSTS.

The Parents shall each be solely responsible for any and all costs associated with their
responsibilities under this MOA with the contribution agreed by majority Php ____________.

5. EFFECTIVE DATE AND PRINTED NAME AND SIGNATURE.

This Memorandum of Agreement shall be effective upon the date of the parents to sign this
MOA below. The parents indicate agreement with this Memorandum of Agreement by their
signatures below.
