Project – Two story building with computer lab and scientific

laboratory
Two story building is proposed to construct in Southern province for the usage of Meepawala
Amarasooriya College. It is proposed to construct the 1st floor with computer laboratory and a
scientific laboratory which is allocated for 50 students and ground floor is consist Auditorium
which is allocated for 500 students.

Invitation for Bids (IFB)

(GOSL Funded Projects)

1. The chairman of Department of education on behalf of the Ministry of education

Appointed Tender Board will receive sealed Bids for Construction of two stories
Laboratory building for Meepawala Amarasooriya College/ Galle and receiving will
be closed at 9.00 a.m. on 11th of January 2012.
 Bids should be submitted on the forms available from the office of department of
education up to 27th of December 2011 on payment of non-refundable tender fee of
Rupees 5000.

2. Eligible bidders shall comply with the following qualification criteria.

All domestic bidders shall he registered with Institute for Construction

Training and Development (ICTAD), under the grade of C2

All domestic bidders shall hold a valid regular membership of the National
Construction Contractors Association of Sri Lanka (NCCASL) at the time
of collection of bidding documents and at time of award as well.

3. Bidding documents may be inspected free of charge at Deputy General Manager,

Central engineering consultancy, Wijerama mawatha, Galle.

4. Bids shall be valid up to 11th of May 2012.

5. Bids must be accompanied by security of Rupees Fifty Five Million Three hundred
Nine Thousand only (Rs.55, 309,000.00).

6. Sealed Bids may he dispatched either registered post or hand delivered to

Deputy General Manager, Central engineering consultancy, Wijerama mawatha,
Galle. To receive before closing time.

7. Bids will be opened immediately after the closing at the Deputy General Manager,
Central engineering consultancy, Wijerama mawatha, Galle. Bidders or their
authorized representatives are requested to be present at the opening of Bids.
