A Contact Representative, commonly referred to as a Customer Service Representative, carries out a full range of responsibilities in
resolving issues and obtaining information relative to the tax administration process. The Customer Service Representative provides
a full range of administrative and technical assistance to individuals and businesses.

Requirements: Pay Structure:


■ U.S. Citizen or National All entry level positions begin at a GS-5 pay grade.
■ 1 year of specialized customer service experience, ■ GS-5: $35,271 Annually ($16.90 Hourly)
OR a 4 year degree (or a combination of both)
■ GS-6: $39,317 Annually after 1st full year ($18.84 Hourly)
■ Background, tax compliance, and fingerprint checks
■ GS-7: $43,691 Annually after 2nd full year ($20.93 Hourly)
■ Selective Service Registration for males born after
12/31/59 ■ GS-8: $48,386 Annually after 3rd full year ($23.18 Hourly)
