At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:

C. Demonstrate the love and respect for elders.

The love of a mother towards her children is unconditional. We should also do our
best to show our love to them as they grow older

3. Analysis
A. The teacher will ask the students to watch the video of the story.

The teacher will ask the following


questions:

a. What is the cruel proclamation of the governor to the entire province?


b. What did the poor farmer felt about the mandate of the governor?
c. What are the sacrifices made by the mother as they travel towards the
mountain?
d. How does the cruel law abolished in the province?
e. What did the governor mean when he said “with the crown of snow, there
cometh wisdom”
f. Do you believe that your mother has knowledge that you do not have? What
are those?
g. How do sons and daughters in our country take care of their old mothers?
How about in other cultures?
h. If you have the financial ability, will you send your aged parents to homes for
the aged?

IV. Application

The teacher will divide the class into four. Each group will be given different tasks to
answer the question, “How will you show your love to your parents?” They will only
be given 5 minutes to accomplish the task as a group and 5 minutes to present their
work. They will be graded according to the following rubrics:

Total 20 pts

Group 1: Create a poem minimum of three stanzas with four lines each.
Group 2: Draw a symbol or an object that will represent their parents and explain
how they will show their love to them.
Group 3: Role play a scene in answer to the question
Group 4: Choose a song that is related to the topic and then sing a part of it in class.

V. Abstraction

1. The teacher will ask the following questions:

A. Recall some moments in your life in which you have felt the unconditional
love of your parents towards you, especially your mother.
B. What are the things that you should be thankful for?
C. What have you learned from the story?

2. The teacher will play a song


entitled “Glowing Inside” and will ask the students to sing along with the music as a
tribute to their parents.
