Perils of alcoholism

2. What is the thesis statement of this essay?

Excessive drinking can negatively alter behavior, cause serious medical complications and
create adverse economic effects.

3. How are the body paragraphs organized? What are the controlling ideas mentioned in
the body paragraphs?

Body paragraphs well-organized.

Controlling ideas : The aerly effects of alcoholism are psychological and alcoholism can also
cause physical harm to the body systems.

4. Is the essay coherent? Why?

Yes , Because, it refers to the general sense that a text makes sense through the
organisation of its content. Also, it is provided by a clear and understood structuring of
paragraphs and sentences in writing.

5. What are the cause(s) and effect(s) mentioned in the essay?

Causes : If people have a long hard time at work, and drinking too much alcohol.

Effects : loss of appetite, lack of sleep,physical harm to the body system.

6. What is the conclusion of this essay?

Instead of drinking alcohol, why don’t we try alternative ways to deal with friends. Such as,
excercising or talking to friends.

I think this essay is a good essay because this essay tell about perils of alcoholsm . when
people drink alcohol regularly, it will affect their brain, which causes loss of appetite and
lack of sleep. It’s so bad for health. , Alcohol can be consumed as long as it’s not excessive .
but in this essay it’s not explained how much that must be consumed.
