Assignment Objective

Upon completion of this assignment, students will be able to understand different types of roles
and statuses.

Question:

Identify the types of roles or statuses in the given scenarios from the provided options and give
justifications in your own words.

Scenario Identification Justification

Mr. Adeel is a well-known cardiac
surgeon. He is known for his surgery
skills all over the country. He has
gained this prestige by lifelong struggle
and training. This social identity that
Mr. Adeel holds guides his behaviors in
the society.Identify his role/status.
Other than performing surgeries, Dr.
Adeel also supervises Medical
Management, runs diagnosis and
delivers lectures to young cardiothoracic
trainees.Identify his role/status.
Recent researches show that heart
diseases among young people have been
increased nowadays. In light of
increasing cases, Dr. Adeel has to give
more time in OPD for diagnosis and
treatment of patients in addition to
performing other responsibilities which
has increased his burden by involvement
in multiple tasks.Identify his role/status.
 The younger daughter of Dr. Adeel is
getting married next month. For the
wedding preparations Dr. Adeel
sometimes have to adjust shopping tours
on the cost of OPD hours and similarly
family plans for emergency surgeries.His
obligation to both sides makes him switch
between tasks for which he has to
sacrifice one for the other. Identify his
role/status.
