1.0
RIVER CROSSINGS (BY OPEN CUT CONVENTIONAL METHOD)

Complete work of the River crossings (between the limits as defined in approved drawing) by open cut conventional method including "Receving and taking over" owner
supplied 3 LPE Coated line pipes from the owner's designated places of issue/dump site(s) and transportation to Contractor's stock yard/ work shop/ worksite including all
handling. loading, unloading, aligning, etc. Supply of all Contractor supplied material to worksite(s), manpower, other resources and acquiring the required land for storage,
fabrication, access for Contractor etc. and execution of, but not limited to, following works in accordance with specifications and instructions of Engineer-in-cahrge as per all
provision of Contract Document.

In-situ pre-construction survey including auger bore(s) of minimum 6.0 M depth (in the middle third of waterway: at least 1 in each waterbody and at interval of 50M
centres) to establish bed strata, its bore log by soil testing; obtaining either scour depth from concerned authority, necessary cover required over the carrier pipeline from
the lowest bed level of the stipulated water crossing to be obtained from concerned authority including design & detail engineering and making of crossing drawing for
getting their approval from concerned Authority/ Engineer-in-charge, getting work permit/ NOC for water crossings as well as utility crossings (if any)encountered during
water crossing prior to the start the execution of work.

Following data shall be obtained from concern authority/ local sources to finalise scour depth :-

(i) Past Historical flood level datas including HFL to determine highest flood level.

(ii) River flow data including velocity of water flow.

(iii) Necessary information regarding type of soil and strata underneath the river bed.

Trenching to the required depth on the banks and bed including maintenance of trench in all types of strata including hard rock at all depth to a width to accommodate the
pipeline at all conditions of the water crossings by various methods for providing with minimum cover over top of the pipe at all points across the maximum possible width
of water bed either 1.5 mtrs. below the predicted scour profile expected during the life time of the pipeline or 2.5 mtrs. below the available lowest firm bed (if scour profile/
depth not available) of the water crossing by ascertaining bed level upto 50 mtrs. both the side from crossing location or the actual depth as decided by concerned
Authority/ Engineer-in-charge whichever is more.

- Strings preparation of pipes, welding, NDT,testing, radiography, welding repair and retest, coating of field joints with Heat Shrink Sleeve or equivalent and repair of pipeline
coating with repair patch or equivalent material as per specification, pre-hydrotest of complete strings made for crossing etc.

- Final carrier string preparation of pipes with 80mm thick continuous concrete weight coating of medium density 2500 kg/m 3 of minimum grade M-20 upto approved length
as per approved drawing & specification or as decided by Engineer-in-charge depending on site condition, repair of coating damages, concrete coating of field joints, etc. as
per respective technical specification.

Laying of the carrier pipeline by the approved crossing method across the water crossing in the approved trench. Preparation of CofferDam, Arrangements and installation of
-
Shutterings, Dewatering pumps, Diversion of Water etc. all misc activities towards Open Cut crossing is in Conrtactor's scope.

- Installation of warning mat on the entire length of the pipeline as per specification.
Backfilling of the trench including supply and padding by select backfill material as required: stabilisation of excavated banks using embankment mattresses as per drawings/
specifications including supply of necessary materials, getting NOC from concerned authority after bank protection, restoration of disturbed area and clean-up etc.

Post installation hydrotest and tie-in with pipeline at either banks etc.

All other works required as per specifications, approved drawings, calculations, methods and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Arrangement of Additional RoU, Land, Corridor / Space to keep Machines, Spares, Pipe Strings, Movement of Vehicles or Machines shall be in scope of Contractor. Clean
up, Restoration, Obtaning NOC from land owner / respective authority, desposible of debris, returning of surplus material etc. shall be in Scope of Contractor.
No Extra Cost to be given for all mentioned activities.

Steel Markers shall be installed on both sides of River as per directed by Engineer In Charge.
Complete site restoration after completion of Job.
1.1 Details of Water Body Crossing
1.1.1 A) By Carrier pipeline of size 8" X 6.4 mm Thk. of API 5L Grade X-52
i) Crossing of River Bhima at Pargaon Mtr.
ii) Crossing of River Bhima at Koregaon Bhima Mtr. As given In
iii) Crossing of Karha River at Baramati Mtr. Annexure
iv) Crossing of Bhima River at Rajgurunagar Mtr.
1.1.2 B) By Carrier pipeline of size 4" X 6.4 mm Thk. of API 5L Grade X-52
i) Crossing of River Bhima at Pargaon Mtr.
ii) Crossing of River Bhima at Koregaon Bhima Mtr. As given In
iii) Crossing of Karha River at Baramati Mtr. Annexure
iv) Crossing of Bhima River at Rajgurunagar Mtr.

Note: (i) Crossing width may vary as per site condition. Bidders are advised to visit the site for actual assessment of extent of crossing and to access the maximum extent of
cover which may have to be provided. Actual string length shall be as per codes/ specifications. Final length of string shall be decided after decision of minimum cover
requirement by concerned Authority/Engineer-in-charge.
(ii) Final length of string & cover from top of pipe for each crossing shall be decided by concerned Authority/Engineer-in-charge.
(iii) Payment for the length of final tied-in carrier pipeline string with mainline made for crossing laid by open cut conventional method are inclusive in the above item rate
and no separate payment shall be made under other clauses mentioned elsewhere.
(iv) In case of lower depth of crossing achieved if damage to bed & bank is extensive the scheme for Bed and Bank Stabilisation as per standards & other approved
construction drawing, shall be executed at no extra cost.
(v) Width of above crossings indicated are tentative. This shall be as per requirement at site for crossing at different locations.
(vi) No Idle Payment shall be made under any circumstances.

2.0 RIVER CROSSING (by HDD Method)


Complete work of the river crossings as per approved profile drawings (as defined in drawing - detailed construction drawings shall be prepared by the contractor duly
approved by MaGL / ICS by Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) method including "Receiving and taking over" owner supplied 3 LPE coated line pipes from owner's
designated places of issue/ dump site(s) and transportation to Contractor's stock yard/ work shop/ worksite including all handling, loading, unloading, aligning etc. supply of
all consumables, manpower, equipments and other resources to work site(s) and acquiring the required land for storage, fabrication, site office access for Contractor etc.
and execution of, but not limited to the following works in accordance with specifications scope of work and instructions of Engineer-in-charge and as per provision of
Contract Document.

Carrying out Geo-technical investigation and hydrological survey for the crossings. Contractor shall submit design calculation and all construction (profile) drawings in line
with survey data for MaGL / ICS approval. Work shall start only after approval of the above.
Following data shall be obtained from concern authority/ local sources to finalise scour depth :-
(i) Past Historical flood level datas including HFL to determine highest flood level.
(ii) River flow data including velocity of water flow.
(iii) Necessary information regarding type of soil and strata underneath the river bed.
Drilling to the required depth on the banks and bed including maintenance of the drill hole in all types of strata including rocky, all depth to accommodate the pipeline at all
conditions of the river crossings by HDD methods for providing with minimum cover either
(i) 1.5m below the scour level / profile, duly approved/ accepted by concerned authority (under whose jurisdictions the crossing lies) - For rivers with rocky bed.

or

(ii) 2.5m below the scour level / profile, duly approved/ accepted by concerned authority (under whose jurisdictions the crossing lies) - For major rivers.

and

(iii) In addtiion to point (i) and (ii), in case of multiple combined crossing i.e. river alongwith road/ drain, minimum cover requirement as per specification/ concerned
authority for each type of crossing has to be fulfilled.

Laying of the pipeline by the approved HDD method across the river crossing including, string preparation of pipes, welding, testing, 100% radiography by X-ray, welding
repair and retest, coating of field joints with special type Dirax Heat Shrink Sleeve or equivalent (including supply of coating material) and repair of pipeline coating with
special PERP-80 repair patch or equivalent material (including supply of repair patch) as per specification, pre-hydrotest of complete strings made for crossing etc. as per
specification.
Backfilling of the ditch/ trench including restoration and clean-up of area, disposal of drilling fluid & waste etc. to the satisfaction of Engineer-in-charge and /or as directed
by Concerned Authority.
Pigging, Cleaning, Post Installation hydrotest, dewatering and tie-in with pipeline at either banks etc. as per specifications, codes, approved drawings, calculations, methods
and as directed by Engineer-in-charge and provision of contract document; getting NOC from all concerned authority of the facilities crossed.

iv) Crossing of Bhima River at Rajgurunagar Mtr.
Note: (i) Payment shall be made only for the length of final tied-in carrier pipeline string with mainline by HDD method under the above item rate and no separate payment
shall be made under any other clause mentioned elsewhere.
(ii) Contractor shall not be entitled for any extra payment due to location / area constraint, capacity of rig, etc.
(iii) Width of above crossings indicated are tentative. This shall be as per requirement at site for crossing at different locations.
(iv) No Idle Payment shall be made under any circumstances.

3 Concrete Saddle Weights

Unit rate for additional works over and above item for supply of all consumables and material including supply of 3mm HDPE sheets fabrication and installation of concrete Nos. 10
saddle weights on pipeline and performing all works as per specifications, drawings, and instruction of Engineer-In-Charge and other provisions of the Contract Doduments.

4 Permanent Markers

Supply, fabrication and installation of all types of permanenet markers along the route including all associated civil works such as excavtion in all types of soil, construction
in all types of soil, construction of pedestals and grouting with concrete, clearing, supply and application of approved colour and quality of primer and paint, stencil letter
cutting for numbers, direction change etc. restoration of area to original condition and performing all works as per drawing specificationa and instruction of engineer in
charge.
4.1 Pipeline RCC boundary / route marker as per drawing Nos. 10
4.2 Pipeline warning markers with post and foundations Nos. 10
4.3 Pipeline direction markers with post and foundations Nos. 10

5 Liasioning Work to Authority / Farm Owners / Private Plot Owners/ Villagers/ Locals
All kind of Liasioning work includes Crossing Clearances / Permissions to Divert the Water is required / Any kid of additional space requirement towards crossing activity to
5.1 keep Pipe strings / machines/ Waste Disposal or any addditional RoU or land requirement as per suit at Site to be managed by Contractor.
Necessary NOCs to be taken and sbmitted by Contractor from authorities / Locals / Private Plot Owners / Farm Owners / Villagers. Lumpsum 4

Coordination of Police or OTHER AUTHORITIES towards the crosing Job for each river and associated work..

6 Civil Work
6.1 Site Grading
Earth in excavation and filling to the grades and levels shown in the approved drawings in all kind of condition including for road enbarkments using approved quality good
earth for designated borrow area for all heights and depths including clearing and stripping (min. 150 mm) of the area marked for filling, taking spot levels, consolidating the
exposed natural soil surface, excavating the earth from borrow area loading , transportation and unloading, spreading in layers not exceeding 150 mm thickness, breaking RMT 1650
clods, watering (if reqd.), ramming and compacting by manual/mechnical means to give minimum 92% of modified Proctor's density of the earth, testing and dressing
including disposal of all unserviceable material all complete as per specification and direction of EIC along the length of pipeline.

Note: Rate to include cost of all labour, tools, tackels, equipment, hire chrages, cost of borrow earth by way of royalties, right of way, cess etc. as applicable with all bye
works and Sunday works)
6.2 Plain Cement Concrete
Supply and laying plain cement concrete (including shuttering of required) in all types of concrete works including leveling courses below foundation, substructure,
superstructure, chambers, cable trenches, under floors and any other locations at all levels as per drawings, specification and direction of EIC.
(a) PCC 1:2:4

6.3 Reinforced Cement Concrete


Providing and laying reinforced cement of grade M-20 with 20 mm and down grade crushed stone aggregrate in all types of structure like foundation, pedestals, pipe
supports, sleepers cable trenches including construction joints, bitumen painting on surface in contact with soil, providing and fixing reinforcing steel, shuttering, inserts, Cu.M. 110
finishes etc. at all depths and heights complete as per drawings, specifications and direction of EIC.
Note: Rate to include cost of all labour, tools, tackels, equipment, hire chrages, supply of all materials such as minimum 43 grade cement including sulphate resistant cement
for substructures, R/F steel, inserts, bolts, condults, bitumen, other minor construction materials, shuttering, shorting bailing and pumping put water, testing of oncrete,
curing etc. with bye all works and sunday works.

6.4 Concrete Pavment


Providing and laying reinforced cement of grade M-20 with 20 mm and down grade crushed stone aggregrate in pavment, including preparation of base (i.e. compacted
subgrade 200 thk sand and 50 thk PCC M-10 grade), leaving pokets if necessary, making recess, projections, fixing inserts conduit pipes (GI, PVC, HDPE, etc.) laying in
alternate panels, filling the gaps between the panels with bitumen etc. making slopes, finishing edges leaving bars for pedestals and sleepers including providing sand fill Cu.M. 10
isolation, shuttering, providing and fixing reinforcing steel, curing, chippping and modification works etc. as specified in any shape, thickness, position and finishing the top
surface smooth as per rquirement etc. all complete as per draeings, specifications and direction of EIC.
6.5 Brick Work
Providing brick work with bricks class designation M-75 of IS 1077 in cm 1:4 (1 Cement:4 Sand) in steps, walls, retaining walls and load bearing structures, drains or any
shape with all lead, depths and heights including curring, scaffolding, etc. as per specification and drawing with all bye works and direction of EIC. Cu.M. 100
Note: Rate to include cost of all labour, tools, tackels, equipment, hire chrages, supply of all materials such as minimum 43 grade cement bricks, finishes, bitumen, other
minor construction materials, shuttering, staging, massonary work, plastering, painting, etc. with all bye works and sunday works.
