This document contains three numerical problems about 3-phase induction motors. The first problem asks to find the air gap power given line current, power losses, and power factors. The second asks to find the output torque if supply voltage decreases by 10% for a motor operating at full load. The third asks to calculate the slip value for maximum torque given starting and maximum torque percentages.

(1) A 440V, 50 Hz, 3 Phase Induction Motor has the line
current of 40A at 0.8 Pf lagging. The stator and rotor copper losses are 3000W and 1000 W respectively. The friction and windage losses are 800 W and core Losses are 200 W.Find the air gap power.(Ans:-21.2 Kw) (2) A 220v, 50 Hz,4 pole Delta connected 3 phase Induction Motor operates at a full load speed of 1400 rpm. The output power is 500 W at this speed. If the supply voltage decreases by 10%,find the output torque of the motor.(Ans:-2.762 Nm) (3) A 3 Phase squirrel cage induction motor has a starting torque of 150% and a maximum torque of 300% with respect to rated torque at rated voltage and rated frequency. Neglect the stator resistance and rotational losses. Find the value of slip for maximum torque?(Ans:- 26.79%)
