This paper analyzes the temperature drop along the radial axis of a nuclear fuel element during steady state heat transfer using ANSYS APDL software. The researchers modeled the fuel element as a hollow cylinder and applied heat flux boundary conditions on the inner surface to simulate nuclear fission. The results from the ANSYS simulation showed the expected trend of higher temperatures at the inner surface decreasing steadily towards the outer surface of the cylinder.
