Prepositions of movement

In English we use prepositions of movement like up and down, across, along, into and
out of or through to express different directions or movements.

Notice the pictures:

e.g. Go up the road. e.g. Go down the road. e.g. Walk across the bridge.

e.g. Go into the tunnel. e.g. Go through the tunnel. e.g. Go out of the tunnel.

e.g. Go along the avenue.
