Aims of MP
▪ The main aim of this course is to develop
knowledge of some important manufacturing
processes such as casting, solid metal deformation
and joining of metals and plastics.

▪ Iincludes some course works to further enhance the

understanding of various important manufacturing
processes
Assessment
▪ Assessment will be through exam such as mid term,
end term, quizzes and course works

▪ Note that in order to gain high marks in exam,

students must demonstrate background knowledge/
reading over and above that presented during
lectures

▪ Recommended textbook which should be consulted

for high marks
