RE: NARRATIVE REPORT ON OUR ON-THE-JOB TRAINING IN
THE PHILLIPINE NATIONAL POLICE (PNP)

The Philippine National Police (PNP) is the armed, civilian national police force
in the Philippines. Its national headquarters is at Camp Crame in Quezon City, Metro
Manila.

It is administered and controlled by the National Police Commission and is part of

the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG). Local officers are
operationally controlled by municipal mayors (except during the 30 days immediately
preceding and following any national, local and barangay elections. During these periods,
the local police forces are under the supervision and control of the Commission on
Elections). DILG, on the other hand, organizes, trains and equips the PNP for the
performance of police functions as a police force that s national in scope and civilian in
character.

The PNP was formed on January 29, 1991 when the Philippine Constabulary and
the Integrated National Police were merged pursuant to Republic Act 6975 of 1990.

On-the-Job training is part of a curriculum in college that aims to train and orient
students about the working load for their future career. It is a type of skill development
where a worker learns how to do work through hands on experience. It also helps the
students acquire relevant knowledge and skills by performing the actual work. And now I
am undertaking my On-the-Job Training (OJT) in the Philippine National Police (PNP) in
partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of Bachelors of Science in
Criminology. It is the first station we are going to render our service from 0700 to 11:00
for ten days.

On the first day of our OJT, I arrived at 6:30am in the station, at exactly 7:00am
we proceed to our formation for sinning attendance. Then after sir Vilas give the different
duties and responsibilities inside the police station. I and my co-interns Ms. Palomar, Ms.
Sanchez, Ms. Apiag were assigned at women's desk and the other were assigned at
investigation office. After at exactly 8:30am we have a Bible study together with the PNP
personnel. Then after sir Laxina asked question individually about five pillars of criminal
justice system. At exactly 11:00am the marcher call of attention for the formation and
sinning of attendance followed by our dismissal.

Our second day of rendering of our on the job training in Philippine National
Police. At exactly 6:30am I arrived in the station, at exactly 7:00am we have a formation
for sinning of attendance. Then after that we have a cleaning of areas of responsibilities
in the office. Then after sir Paculanang asked question individually on what is homicide,
criminology, criminal law, felony and etc. After sir Valladolid give instruction to us, on
how to assemble the M16 and caliber 45. Then after we have a demonstration
individually on how to assemble that gun. Then after at exactly 11:00am we proceed to
our formation for sinning of attendance, followed by our dismissal.

On the third day of rendering of our duty in Philippine National Police (PNP). At
exactly 6:38am I arrived at the station, at exactly 7:00am the marcher call of attention for
the formation and sinning of attendance. Then after we proceed to our cleaning of areas
and responsibilities. Then after my four co-interns go to at the cultural together with the
PNP personnel.While waiting of our co-interns, I and my co-interns I and my co-interns
Ms. Palomar, Ms. Sanchez, Ms. Apiag, Mr. Cordoba sitting in the bench. At exactly
11:00am we have a formation for sinning of attendance and followed by our dismissal.

On our fourth day of our rendering on the job training in the Philippine National
Police (PNP). At exactly 6:30am I arrived at the station, at exactly 7:00am we proceed to
our formation for sinning of attendance. Then after we have a cleaning of areas and
responsibilities, while waiting the instruction sitting in the bench together with my cco-
interns. At exactly 10:00am sir laxina he he discussed about the Performance Governance
System. Time passed at exactly 11:00am we have a formation of sinning of attendance,
and proceed to our dismissal.

The following day of rendering our on the job training in the Philippine National
Police (PNP). At exactly 6:30am I arrived at the police station, at exactly 7:00am the
marcher call of attention to have a formation for sinning of attendance. Then sir Martinez
give instruction to us, to observe the traffic management in national highway and the
department of Philippine National Police was conducted a checkpoint. At exactly
10:00am we went back at the police station, while waiting the further instruction, I'm
sitting in the bench together with my co-interns. At around 11:00am we proceeded to our
formation for the dismissal.

On our 7th day of rendering our on the job training in Philippine National
Police(PNP). At exactly 6:30am I arrived at the police station, at exactly 7:00am we have
a formation for sinning of attendance lead by Ms. Palomar. Then sir Valladolid told us to
observe the traffic management in national highway, all the PO1 officer will conduct a
checkpoint . Then after at exactly 10:00am we went back at the police station together
with my co-interns and my four co-interns will go to in camboilau bais city together the
police officer and the traffic personnel to conduct a checkpoint. After at around 11:00am
we have a formation for sinning of attendance we proceeded to our prepared dismissal.

On our eight day of rendering our on the job training in Philippine National Police
(PNP). I arrived at exactly 6:40am at the police station, at exactly 7:00am the marcher
call of attention to have a formation for sinning of attendance. Then the desk officer he
told us to observe the checkpoint near at the police station, after the observation we went
back to the station. We were just sitting on the bench waiting for further instruction,
Moments later Sir Ragay told us to come at the investigation office. Then sir Cadiz
discuss about the investigation and what is the different between homicide and murder.
At exactly 11:00 am we have a formation for sinning of attendance and followed by our
prepared dismissal.

On our ninth day, of rendering on the job training in Philippine National Police
(PNP). I arrived at exactly 6:30am I arrived at the police station, at exactly 7:00am the
marcher call of attention to have a formation for sinning of attendance. Then the desk
officer told us to observe the PNP checkpoint near at police station, then after the
observation we went back to at station. Then sir Cadiz told us, to observe the investigator
if what is the first going to do as a investigator. Moment later, we proceed to our
formation for sinning of attendance and followed by our prepared dismissal.

On our last day, of rendering on the job training in Philippine National Police
(PNP). I arrived at exactly 6:38am at the station, at exactly 7:00am the marcher call of
attention to have a formation for sinning of attendance. Then the desk officer told us, to
observe the PNP checkpoint near at the station. Moments later we went back at the police
station then the marcher told to us, to get inside in the WCPD office. Then ma'am Esona
will discuss about the Anti- violence against women and there are four types of violence,
first is physical violence, second is sexual violence, the third one is psychological abuse
and the last one is economic abuse. Moments later, the marcher call of attention to have a
formation for taking pictures together with the PNP personnel, after we proceeded to our
formation for the dismissal.

I would like to convey my gratefulness to you and your colleagues for the
excellent OJT which I have undergone in your agency. The skills and knowledge which I
have gained throughout my practical training I perceive as very valuable component in
my future career development. As you know this OJT was part of my educational
curricula and therefore I have to thank you for providing me this opportunity.

I would especially like to thank Senior Police Officer 2 Ragay, Police Officer 3
Laxina for their generous support, coaching and companionship during my OJT. I shared
their expertise with me very generously and I have learned a lot from them. My thanks
and appreciation also to your Police Officer 2 (Desk Officer) for willing to help us, and
above all to your good companionship.

Thank you once again for your great support in the successful completion of my
OJT.
