Objectives:
 Interpret given word problems involving confidence interval estimation of the
population mean.
 Solve problems involving confidence interval estimation of the population mean.
 Formulate conclusion about the population mean based on its confidence interval
estimate.
 Demonstrate cooperation on group activity.
 Practice oneness in solving problems involving confidence interval estimation of the
population mean.

I. Materials:
 cartolina
 pentel pen

II. Procedure:
a. Choose a moderator, secretary, material collector and time keeper.
b. Work as a group to answer the problem below. Show your solution.

Problem:
In a game of Pikyaw 40 players showed that their average score was 186. The
standard deviation of the populations is 6.
i. Find the 95% confidence interval of the mean score for all players.
ii. Find the 95% confidence interval of the mean score of a sample of 100 instead
of a sample of 40.

c. Present your output in the class by writing your solutions in the cartolina provided to
you.
d. This activity last for 25 minutes.
