400 and 132 kV Shunt Reactor 1.5.1.1.1.

02-Rev-4

3.4.7 Rating Plate and Valve Location Plate

Para (58) A rating plate & connection diagram plate bearing all the data specified in IEC 60076-6
shall be provided. Additionally, guaranteed oil / winding temperature rise, site ambient
temperature, zero sequence reactance and the type of oil used shall be indicated in the rating
plate.

Para (59) Separate Rating plate showing the details of approved characteristics of CT used for
protection purpose shall be provided

Para (60) A plate showing the location and function of all valves and air release cocks or plugs shall
be provided. This plate shall also warn operators to refer to the Maintenance Instruction
before applying vacuum, if necessary

Para (61) A plate showing Temperature Vs Oil level graph shall be provided. Temperature of the oil
and the corresponding oil level gauge reading applicable to the band between minimum
and maximum oil temperature shall be shown on the graph.

3.4.8 Temperature Indicators

Para (62) The reactor shall be provided with approved devices for indicating the oil temperature and
hot spot winding temperatures of the middle phase. The devices shall have a dial type
indicator and, in addition, a pointer to register the highest temperature reached. Each
temperature device shall have two separate contacts fitted for alarm and trip.

Para (63) Fiber-optic sensors shall be provided in each winding of the reactor that is subjected to Heat
Run Test for checking winding hot spot temperature. Gradient setting of WTI shall be based
on FO Sensor reading. The sensors shall be connected to terminals provided on a detachable
terminal board mounted on Reactor tank with suitable protection cover. Monitoring device
is not included in the scope of supply

3.4.9 Gas and Oil-Actuated Relays

Para (64) Each reactor shall be fitted with gas and oil-actuated relay having alarm contacts which
close on collection of gas or low oil level, and tripping contacts, which close following oil
surge conditions.

Para (65) Each gas and oil-actuated relay shall be provided with a test cock to take a flexible pipe
connection for checking the operation of the relay.

3.4.10 Current Transformers

Para (66) Refer to the protection Single Line Diagram. Refer to DEWA approved CT/VT
parameters for CT parameters. Refer to DEWA approved CT manufacturer list for CT
make. Refer to the protection specification for CT cable size. (All the relevant documents
are attached with tender documents)

Para (67) All Bushing Current Transformers shall be provided with a test winding of 10A rating.

3.5 Insulating Oil

Para (68) The contractor shall supply the first filling of all insulating oils required for operation of the
plant. The oil shall fulfill requirements as per Technical Specifications for Insulating Oils
document 1.5.1.9.0.05.

3.6 Drawings And Documents

Para (69) The drawings/documents shall be submitted and got approved from DEWA as per
approved DDCMS (Drawings and document Control Monitoring sheet)
