Firmly clamp a dial gauge to one of the couplings or to the shaft. The piston of the dial gauge

must lie against the crown of the other half - coupling.
2 Set the dial gauge to zero
3 Turn the coupling & write down the values after every quarter run.
4 Alternately the radial coupling alignment can also be measured using a ruler.
Using a caliper gauge, circumferential check should be carried out to check the distance

between two coupling halves.
Connect the coupling halves once correcty aligned. The tightening torque values are to be as

per the below table:
Any deviation in the measuring values result in misalignment. In this case, the unit has to be

realigned to the motor.
(a) Loosen the hexagonal screws & the counter nuts on the motor.
(b) Place shim under the motor feet until the height difference is compensated.
The tightening torque for the pump & motor on the base plate has to follow the below table:
