ITBF Project: You are a manager operations at Atlas Insurance Company Ltd.

Firstly, define financial management, and time value of money. Explain concepts of compounding and
discounting. Discuss how annuities can help financial managers and elaborate different types of financial
markets.

Mr. Malik Khalid has approached you for some saving plans for his future needs. Mr. Khalid has age of
30 years and doing job in Shall Pakistan. Mr. Khalid has only one son Aryan, which has recently joined
school in play group. Mr. Khalid wants to get following plans:

1. The educational plan for medical education (MBBS) education of his child
2. Saving plan for marriage of his son
3. A retirement plan after his retirement at the age of 60.

You have the liberty to take assumptions regarding income level of Mr. Khalid, his annual saving, his
annual household conception, annual installment that he can deposit in saving plans, educational
expenses of his son, and annual income needed by Mr. Khalid after retirement, total lump sum amount
received by Mr. Khalid at retirement age from Shall Pakistan. You can also assume any compound or
discount rate.

Special Instructions:

a. Project would be carried out in groups of two members, where one member would act as
Project Manager and other as project manager assistant.
b. Project must be written in MS Word and has minimum word requirement of 1400 words
c. Font style Times New Roman
d. Line Spacing Double
e. Dot not copy past from anywhere as project would go through Turnitin software which can very
easily detect the similarities. Take concept from book or any other source and write in your own
words. Maximum acceptable level of similarity index by Turnitin is 18%. If someone did copy
past and similarity level turns greater than 18%, project would be rejected and ZERO marks
would be awarded.

i. It can clearly understand the time lines are brief, therefore I have given only 2500 words, which
