Americans often express a great concern about the increase of road accidents and the lack of
security when driving their cars. For this reason, the national association responsible for security in
roads decided to do a study in order to know the different factors behind this horrible increase in
accidents. The informants chosen for the study were a group of drivers aged between (18-48) years
old and had already experienced a car accident.
Most drivers agreed that 75% of car accidents are man-made and not due to some natural
disturbances such as rain, flood…..etc. When the reporter asked them to nominate the factors
behind the spread of this phenomenon.45% of drivers said that speed is the most common reason
behind car crashes.while31% of them claimed that drinking alcohol when driving often lead to big
disasters. Other than this,21% of the informants still believe that talking in mobiles and drivers
fatigue is among the factors to cause these accidents.
As expected, the reporter found that the speed of driving by teenagers and drink driving are the
reasons behind the spread of road accidents in the United States.
