   Flash Introduction & Shortcuts

Adobe Flash (now know as Adobe Animate) is a vector based software. Therefore, it allows you to
export scalable files known as SWFs. SWFs are a kind of video file that can be imported into After
Effects and still be scalable.

Common keyboard tools for Adobe Flash. This will be discussed in the live classes, but the most
essential keyboard tools are listed here for reference.

Timeline (F5, F6, F7)


1. F5 : Add frame

2. Shift + F5 : Remove frame

3. F6 : Add keyframe

4. Shift + F6 : Remove keyframe

5. F7 : Add blank Keyframe

Flash hierarchy
1. Drawing < Group < Symbol

2. Double click in the element you want to enter.

3. Double click anywhere in the stage to go back one level.

2. E : Erase Use it as you mean it.

3. Cmd + Shift + W : View stage only

4. Cmd + G : Group

5. J : Drawing object

6. Cmd + B : Break apart (Or break one level down)
