 Role play is defined as a techniqe in which
students are asked to interact either as
themselves or someone else in imaginary
situation with or without scenario to
provide useful expression for real life
language use.
• Advantages of role play in improving
students’speaking performance is that it
provides the environment when language is
used in meaningfull situations in and out of the
classroom, provide opportunities for the
students to be involved actively and can
increase the students’confident to use foreign
language.
LESSON PLAN

 Students are asked to form a group of 4-5 people.

 Students observe the language features (simple past tense and past perfect
tense).
 Students are asked to discuss in their group about social function, language
used, language expression etc in the cartoon movies.

• Students are asked to discuss first in his/her group (enhance the collaboration
skill) before speak (simple past tense).
(Communicating)
• Students act the play in front of their friends. (Enhance communication skill).

• Using pictures to teach English is a great
way to incorporate visual tools in English
class.
Narrative Board Game
Cara Penggunaan :
1.Guru membagi siswa kedalam beberapa kelompok.
2.Setiap kelompok memiliki juru berbicara atau speaker. Setiap siswa secara
bergantian harus menjadi juru bicara atau speaker.
3.Masing-masing kelompok secara bergiliran melempar dadu kemudian angka
yang terdapat dalam dadu tersebut digunakan untuk melangkah di dalam papan
permainan.
4.Setiap speaker atau juru bicara harus melakukan instruksi atau pertanyaan yang
terdapat dalam papan permainan board game.
5.Guru harus memberikan reward kepada siswa yang mampu melakukan instruksi
atau perintah yang terdapat pada papan permainan narrative board game tersebut.
6.Kelompok yang menjadi pemenang dalam permainan ini adalah kelompok yang
berhasil memperoleh banyak point/skor atau reward dari guru.
