1. Cuenca is the capital of the Azuay province, the largest city in Ecuador.

2. Cuenca is the most charming city with its cobblestone streets, old-world
cathedrals, colonial Parks and urban rivers.

3. Cuenca’s history begins long before the arrival of both the spanish and the
Inca.

4. Culture and history are represented in the city´s various museums, they
choose from a variety of churches and colonial plazas.

5. At night, the bars and restaurants dominate with excellent traditional and
international food and affordable prices.

6. Nigtlife in Cuenca changes from bohemian to excluisive, but the events


change to end very early, reflecting the traditional conservative culture of
the city.

7. Cuenca has a temparate climate throughout the year. The days are
normally warm and the nights are cold.

8. Cuenca’s main bus terminal, is located on Avenida España in the


northeast of the city, a twenty-minute walk or a taxi ride from the historic
center.
