Procedure for Installing New ENC

ACTION REQUIRED BY VESSEL

Step 1 Step 1: Load latest ‘Weekly Permit’ in ‘Admiralty Digital Catalogue’ (ADC)
Step 2: Check if required Voyage ENCs are available and their validity.
Voyage Orders Step 3: If Voyage ENCs are NOT available, select required ENCs in ‘ADC’ and send request to DPM.
Step 4: Load ‘PERMIT’ (received from DPM) in ECDIS 1
Step 5: Load latest ‘AVCS DVD” in ECDIS 1
Step 6: Load latest week Updates from Voyager in ECDIS 1.
Load latest Step 7: Check ECDIS 1 Log to confirm, if new ENCs are installed and updated to latest week.
“Weekly Permit” Step 8: Check operation of ECDIS 1 for ONE DAY and confirm, if it is operating satisfactorily.
Step 9: Load ‘PERMIT’ (received from DPM) in ECDIS 2
Step 10: Load latest week Updates from Voyager in ECDIS 2.
Step 11: Check ECDIS 2 Log to confirm, if new ENCs are installed and updated to latest week.

Step 12: Record the updates / installation in NP 133C
