In light of the list of experiments list shared with you prepare a lab report of 13 labs, while preparing your
report each lab report should comprise of Objective, little bit portion of introduction and its finding
(attached) & conclusion. All the work should be of yourself, don’t share with others. Copied reports will be
marked zero. Its weightage is absolute 20%.
List of experiments:
1. To study and calculate the coefficient of friction of different materials using friction apparatus.
2. To study and calculate the coefficient of friction on inclined plane and investigate force applied at different
angles of friction and compare with theoretical results.
3. To study and calculate the mechanical advantage, velocity ratio and efficiency of worm & worm wheel.
4. To study characteristics of Watt Governor.
5. To study and determine characteristics of Proell Governor.
6. To study and calculate the mechanical advantage, velocity ratio and efficiency of Bevel gear.
7. To study and calculate the mechanical advantage, velocity ratio and efficiency of Chain Drive.
8. To demonstrate quick return mechanism and to record the relationship between the rotation of work crank
and moment of slider.
9. To determine moment of inertia of a Fly wheel by falling weight method.
10. To study and determine characteristics of Porter Governor.
11. To study and determine characteristics of Hartnell Governor.
12. Derivation of controlling force characteristics curves for Porter Governor & comparison with theoretical
predictions.
13. To study and determine Static & Dynamic balancing of distributing masses for more than three
mass systems.
Note: Lab Reports should be in PDF File. Late submissions would be dealt as no
submissions.
