Module 1:

Introduction:
The value of athletics in schools is significant and cannot be overlooked. It has a
profound impact on individuals, schools, and communities. Athletics is powerful because it
can bridge gaps, bring people who otherwise might not interact together, and provide
opportunities not available elsewhere. See several of the key benefits of having an established
and successful athletics program at your school here.
The opportunity to participate in track and field events is one of the greatest ways to
improve health physically and emotionally. Everyone can benefit from athletics, discipline,
perseverance, companionship, and establishing and accomplishing goals.

Learning Outcomes:

At the end of the lesson, students are expected to:


a. visualize the content and concept of the course outline
b. internalize the short motivational video relevant to the world of athletics
c. develop an essay regarding their reactions about the short motivational video related to
athletics.

Teaching-Learning Activity (Lesson Proper):

Go over the content of the course outline and a short motivational video clip. This is to give
you a glimpse to the world of athletics.

Enhancement Activity:

You are required to compose an essay entitled “Why We Run” guided by the following
statements/questions:
1. Choose five (5) scenarios from the video which captured your emotion or interest and
explain why?
2. At the end statement of your essay, what is the relevance to you as a student facing the
pandemic?
3. Use the MS word template attached for your essay.
4. Submit your output through messenger, email, or any application like google classroom if
requested by your instructor. Submission not later than: June 30, 2020
