Physical Activities towards Health and Fitness IV (PATH-FIT) - DANCE
2nd Semester, AY 2023 – 2024
Mission of the University : Provide advanced professional and technical instruction for special purposes, advanced studies in industrial trade, agriculture,
fishery, forestry, aeronautics, and land-based programs, arts and sciences, health sciences, information technology, and other
relevant fields of study. It shall undertake research, production and extension services, and provide progressive leadership in its
areas of specialization.
Goals of the University : The University shall produce scientifically, and technologically oriented human capital equipped with appropriate knowledge, skills,
and attitudes. It shall likewise pursue relevant research, strengthen linkages with the industry, community, and other institutions,
and maintain sustainable technology for the preservation of the environment.

Program Outcomes : 1. Articulate and discuss the latest developments in the specific field of practice;

5. Preserve and promote “Filipino historical and cultural heritage” (based on RA 7722).
Course Description : This course will provide experiences in a variety of physical activities for the purpose of optimizing health through active
participation and involvement. Students will choose from a menu of course offerings in Dance, Sports, Martial Arts, Group Exercise,
Outdoor and Adventure Activities. In conjunction with fitness concepts, exercise and healthy eating principles, learners will be able
to enhance their fitness through the various physical activities offered in the course that will also emphasizes opportunity for gender
equality and sensitivity among students.
Course Learning Outcomes : Within the semester, the students are expected to:
1. Access, synthesize and evaluate information on personal, cultural and social factors that motivate, exhibit healthy choices
about physical activity, nutrition and behavior to enhance once capacity, to take responsibilities for oneself. (PO1, PO2, PO4,
PO5)
2. Apply concepts such as fair play, empathy, respect for other’s ability and diversity by understanding how these can
influenced their interaction with others. (PO2, PO3)
3. Participate in moderate to vigorous physical activities with the national and global recommendation for physical education.

4. Optimizing movement competence and confidence in a variety of contexts and environments by building upon the
foundation of play, movement and motor skills. (PO1, PO2, PO3)
5. Lead to the achievement and maintenance of quality of life through high level of functionality. (PO 1, PO2, PO4)
