WEEKLY LEARNING LOG Teaching Date February 24,26,27,28, 2020 Quarter 4
Time 7:30-8:30AM-2:00PM-3:00PM Section COURAGE/RESPECT
MONDAY TUESDAY THURSDAY FRIDAY
I. OBJECTIVES
A. Content Standards Demonstrate understanding on the theories and principles of orthographic projections and Orthographic Projections
B. Performance Standards 1. Orthographic and pictorial drawings are interpreted according to drawing standards.
2. Assembly and detailed drawings are interpreted according to drawing standards.

C. Learning Competencies/ TLE_MD7/8OP-Oa-1

Objectives
II. CONTENT LO1 IDENTIFY ASSEMBLY AND DETAILED DRAWING
III. LEARNING RESOURCES K-12 LM-MECHANICAL DRAFTING EXPLORATORY GRADE 7 & 8
A. References
1. Teacher’s Guide pages PP. 14
2. Learners’ Materials pages PP. 85-88
3. Textbook pages
4. Additional Materials from
Learning Materials (LR) portal
B. Other Learning Resources http://www.orthographic projection part1
IV. PROCEDURES
A. Preliminary activity Greetings! Checking of attendance
B. Reviewing previous lesson or A drawing of an object is to be presented to the class:
presenting the new lesson Activity:
The learners will describe the object presented by the teacher.
 What can you say about the object?
 What have you observed on the drawing?
 How do you think the object been drawn?
 A pre-test is to be administered by the teacher to determine prior knowledge of students. The score will be the basis of groupings

C. Establishing a purpose for the The objectives is to be presented to the class.

lesson
D. Presenting examples/ Group Activity:
instances of the new lesson Members of every group will be called, they’ll be given their stations and further instructions are indicated on the activity sheet.
*But before the conduct of the activities, students will fixed / arrange the jumbled letters. (thru PPT presentation)
The terms are orthographic drawing and multi-view drawing.
The term will be defined trough PPT
Station 1 (Contextual learning area) – Will read an information sheet and will answer guide questions based on the read information sheet.
(Note: Each members of the group will be given each of the information sheet and the guide question.)
-Station 2 (Computer learning area) – Will view a video clip about orthographic projection part 1.
-Station 3 (Practical work area) –will initially practice to draw an orthographic drawing
*Each members of the group will be working on a task sheet on each station, thus before the presentation they are to share their thoughts and notes on the activity
conducted on each station.

* Each of the group will be reminded of the observance of discipline (working quietly, proper behavior, keeping each stations organized and tidy) and the observance
of safety.
*Presentation of output will follow. (Time allotted for each station is 10 minutes only.)

E. Discussing new concepts and Discussion:

practicing new skills #1 The teacher will discuss and clarify some points that requires clarification in orthographic drawing
*But, let’s first discuss the views of an object and how to obtain the proper degrees in drawing the object
- In your mathematics subject, your teacher surely discussed the use of a protractor in obtaining the degrees and angle. Am I right? Did you already discuss this
before?
- The students are expected to answer positively.
*can you draw an object tilted in 30o ?
*can you identify the orthographic views of an object
*There are different views of an object what are its views?
What are their planes of projection?
How do we take the overall size of an object

*Based on your viewed video clip, again, what the multi-views of an object? Which angles are used in drawing to form the quadrant? How do we come to an overall
size of an object?

*The teacher will ask:

-Have you tried drawing the example given in the information sheet?
-What are the difficulties that you’ve encountered?

*This is how to draw an orthographic drawing

First you must set a flat surface and measure the tilt of an object. Then draw the planes of projection and the quadrant. After that, follow the drawing of the views of
an object

F. Discussing new concepts and Discussion:

practicing new skills #2 The teacher will discuss about the orthographic projection first angle projection and third angle projection
Unfolding of planes will also be discussed.
Why is it important to understand the first and third angle, as well as the unfolding of planes process?
G. Developing mastery The learners will perform on the task sheets 1.3. Sketch the three regular views using the Third-angle projection
H. Finding Practical applications You were asked to unfold an orthographic drawing to which part will you start?
of concepts and skills in daily What is the purpose of the unfolding of planes?
living How will you identify an orthographic drawing and an assembly and detailed drawing?
I. Making generalizations and Les us answer the following:
abstractions about the lesson 1. The a system of orthographic projection that places the object on the first quadrant is called __________________.
2. Located below the top view is the _______________ of the Third angle projection.
3. The a system of orthographic projection that places the object on the third quadrant is called ______________.
4. Located below the first is the ______________ of the first-angle projection.
5. The perpendicular distance between horizontal planes is referred to as ______________.
6. The perpendicular distance between profile planes is called ______________.
7. The perpendicular distance between frontal planes is called ______________.

J. Evaluating Learning Written work:

Answer self-check 1.3
Self-check 1.4
K. Additional activities for In your drawing paper draw the objects shown by the teacher and unfold the planes
application or remediation
