WE’RE BACK GRAY WING

The Museum of Art, along with so many businesses and California Sculpture SLAM 2020
organizations around the world, has been closed since mid-
March in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The staff August 7 to September 13
and board of directors would like to sincerely thank all of
our generous donors and members who have continued to
support the Museum during its closure.
While the Museum was closed to the public, staff kept busy
by converting SLOMA’s programs to a digital format. Digital
slide shows of our current exhibitions are available for free
at sloma.org/exhibits and we are expanding our educational
program to include virtual workshops and free weekly activity
prompts for kids and teens.
When the Museum of Art reopens, visitors will be in for a
surprise. Thanks to a generous grant from the Harold J.
Miossi Charitable Trust, SLOMA’s exhibition galleries have
new carpet, refinished walls, updated lighting, and a new roof.
More improvements are on the way so stay tuned!
