As people rely more and more on technology to solve problems, the ability of

humans to think for themselves will surely deteriorate.

Technology and humans work hand in hand. Technology helps us to solve our problems
easily and efficiently. Nowadays computers makes our life easier, helping us to solve our
problems. So, I tend to disagree that as people rely more and more on technology to solve
problems, the ablitity of humans to think for themselves will deteriorate.

In this competitive world, we have to focus more on creative, insightful ideas not on the

problems related to their implementation, because for their implementation various devices
are already there. According to this point of view, we should develop a myriad of
sophisticated and new algorithms, and leave their computation to super computers. If we also
have to focus on, how these algorithms are to be implemented on super computers, this
reduces our productivity in the freshness of the ideas. Relying on technology helps us to
focus on the more pertinent topics rathen than the peripheral ones.

In the education sector, studying via technology help students in many ways. Earlier, people
used to go through the entire text book and comprehending the text book even when, some of
the topics are redundant. Now, students can skip those topics with the help of online tools
such as youtube, wikipedia and blogs. Studying online, not only helps in skipping the
superfluous topics, but also in providing an exhaustive aspects of the subject. For example, if
a student wants to learn about space exploration, earlier, he has to read the entire book or may
be more than one book. Now, he can browse different space agency's website like SpaceX,
NASA and ISRO, when the student understands with the pragmatic explanations, he can
understand it in a better way. As, students rely on technology it is helping them
understanding better not decreasing their thinking skills.

Some might argue that, as people rely more on technology, their thinking capabilities can
degrade. According to this view, for any school project, students just copy from the internet.
These people are not considering that when some students copies, then they make changes in
that project to make it better, they have to mull over what changes are to made. These
students may even make the projects totally different, just taking little help from the internet.

Technology does not abate thinking capabilities of humans rather it reduces the redundant
efforts for computation, going through the entire book and giving rudimentary plots for
attractive projects. It just provide an extra hand for the peripheral work, helping people
focussing on the main topics.
