1. Ensure that you are familiar with the jacking and moving procedures as detailed in
the rig's Marine Operating Manual. Ensure you are familiar with the Unit Rig
Move Guidance Manual.
2. Hold pre-move meeting with client to plan next rig move. Meeting agenda and final
plan shall meet or exceed our minimum standard rig move criteria.
Ensure all potential hazards have been identified and relavant precautions
or deviations from standard move procedures, have been discussed.
3. Ensure that an adequate towing vessel package has been provided for the
mobilization and that all tow gear is in satisfactory condition.
5. Review with the OIM and the client all of the Insurance Underwriter Surveyor's
comments and recommendations. Incorporate the agreed recommendations in the
rig move plan.
6. Send the final plan and approval certificates to the OIM, the Client, and the Unit office.
7. Ensure that all nautical charts for the intended route are in your possession.
8. Ensure that a copy of the warranty surveyor's Rig Move Approval and
Recommendations is forwarded to the rig prior to the rig move.
Ensure Rack Phase Difference Procedure (On applicable rigs), has been discussed
With OIM. Planning for move
9. to incorporate (RPD) report requirements at necessary
stages throughout operation.
