4. Procedures
4.1 Introductory
Activity
The teacher shows pictures of landmarks in the city or province (Refer to Appendix A).
Then, he/she asks the students to name other things that their city or province is famous
5 minutes for and asks them one thing about their city or province they are most proud of.
The teacher presents the objectives of the lesson for the day.

4.2 Activity The teacher asks the students to answer Task 1, Identifying Our Fellow Filipinos, with a
partner.(Refer to Learning Package in English 7, page 11).
The teacher processes the students' responses and lets the students perform Task 2.
Knowing Further Our Fellow Filipinos, individually. (Refer to Learning Package in English
7, page 12).
The teacher processes briefly the students' engagement in the activity by focusing on the
need to know better our fellowFilipinos.
Then, the teacher asks students to read quietly the statement first followed by the brief
selection (Refer to Learning Package in English 7, pp. 12-13).
After silent reading period, the students are given three minutes to identify the
statements they agree or disagree to. Have the students discuss in pairs their
responses. Have the students share their common points of agreement and
disagreement.
The teacher asks the students to answer Task 1, Identifying Our Fellow Filipinos, with a
