HISTO PICTURE

Hyaline Cartilage:

 Chondrocytes arranged
in groups(2- 4 cells) enclosed in
lacuna (capsules).

 Homogenous matrixis
seen (Hyaline glass appearance)
Ex: Thyroid cartilage, Trachea.

fibro Cartilage:

 Chondrocytes arranged
in single rows.

 Perichondrium is absent.

 Collagen fibers are seen

in between them as thick
bundles. Ex:- Tendons,
Acetabular and Glenoidal
labrum, Symphysis.

Elastic Cartilage:

 Cartilage cells are

arranged in groups enclosed in
capsule.

 Fine elastic fibers

present in the matrix.

 Single Chondrocytes
seen in lacuna. Ex:- Epiglottis,
Eustachian tube.

T.S of Compact Bone:

 Haversian systems are

seen with Heversian lamellae.

 Lamellar pattern of
osteocytes.

 Lacunae with their

canaliculi communicating with
other lacunae.
Lymph node:

 Subcapsular lymph
sinus is seen
 Outer cortex, inner
medulla with
lymphatic follicles.
 Trabeculae and
medullary cords.

Thymus:

 Made up of
lobules, each lobe
contains outer
cortex, inner
medulla.
 Each lobe Medulla
contains “Hassals
Corpuscles”.
 Cut sections of
capillaries may be
seen.

 Excentrically placed
arteriole is seen.
 Lymphatic Nodules
or Malphigian
Bodies are seen.
(cords of bilroth).
 Trabeculae are
seen.
 Red pulp and white
pulp are present.
Serous Salivary Gland
(Parotid Gland):

 Cut sections of
serous acini are seen.
 Intra, inter lobular
ducts are seen.
 Oval nuclei present
in the center of acinar cells.
Ex: parotid salivary gland.

Mucous Salivary Gland

(Sublingual Gland):

 Lobules are
composed of
mucous acini.
 Intra, inter lobular
ducts are seen.
Flat nuclei present at the
base of acinar cells. Eg:
Sublingual Salivary gland
Mixed Salivary Gland
(Submandibular):
 Serous and Mucous
acini constitute the
lobules.
 Serous demilunes are
seen.
 Intra and inter lobular
ducts.

gland
Liver:

lobules,
consisting of
hepatic
artery, portal
vein, bile
duct.radiating

parenchymal
cells.
Pancreas:

 Made up of
lobules, each
lobule is made by
serous acini.
 Intra and inter
lobular ducts.
 Islets of langerhans
