NOTICE
COMPETENCY BASE ASSESSMENT SYSTEM
(CBA)-2019 TO ALL ENGINEERING PROFFESSIONAL
If your registration has expired on the 31/12/2018, you are now no longer registered to work
on projects in PNG that are valued at K200, 000.00 or more. This means that for Expatriates and
Nationals who wish to renew their registrations with IEPNG MUST apply for renewal by
submitting the required information using the new application forms as required by the
Competency Base Assessment system.

You are given a Grace Period from 01/01/2019 – 28/02/2019 to complete and lodge your CBA
Application. If you fail to lodge your CBA application after February 2019, than your Member-
ship to IEPNG and Registration with the PERB will be lapsed. This means that you cannot per-
form on any Engineering related work as you will be in breach of Section 23 of the Professional
Registration Act 2007 (amended).

Any new Expatriates or PNG Nationals wishing to work on PNG Engineering Projects MUST now
lodge their applications using the CBA application forms.
