Alphabet Mats
These mats are such an easy way to work on fine motor skills needed for
pencil grip while reinforcing letter recognition (for uppercase and
lowercase) and phonics!
Just grab playdough, pom poms, buttons, or other small manipulatives to
cover the dots on each letter. You can even pull out the dot paint!
Encourage learners to start on the circle that contains an object that begins
with each letter. This is the starting point when learners write their letters.
Work on one letter at a time or several letters.
