(b) Express the following in terms of Rez and Imz:

(b)(i) Express the following in the form z = x + iy: z = (1 − 3i)72 where x and y
are real.
(ii) Express the following in the form x + iy: i105 .

2. (a)(i) If z is a complex number such that |z|2 = 1, compute |1 + z|2 + |1 − z|2 .

(ii) Express the following in polar form and display it on the Argand diagram:
