Pedagogy

Activity
1. This is going to be a self-guided lesson, giving students
independent work in class, but collaborative work online.
2. Introduce the topic to the students. The topic is the
Branches of Government and the checks and balances that
exist between them. (Students have studied this topic
many times before, so in order to be pique their interest,
we will be examining them from a different perspective
today.)
3. The students are to read the two popular market articles:
Technology
Web 2.0 Technology For this assignment, students will be utilizing Edublogs. It is

Mobile App Option 1. Edublogs does not have an app to be utilized on

smartphones, however it does have a smartphone friendly
interface on its website.
2. If students prefer to use an actual app on their smartphones,
they can turn to WordPress. This is available on the Apple
App Store, Google Play, and Amazon App Store. On all three
formats, the cost to download it is free. This will make it easy
for students to use as they do not have to pay a price to take
advantage of this mobile app. In this app, students are
allowed to create a blog and have other comment on it. The
only issue that will arise is that some students may not have
mobile devices, restricting the interaction that the students
have online. Not all the students will be able to see
everyone’s work because of the two different formats being
used.
