not of our manufacture carry the normal guarantee of the manufacturer. Unless otherwise stated, this
quotation is valid for “standard” National Oilwell Varco equipment manufactured to National Oilwell Varco
engineering and QA/QC specifications. If special specifications are required, including (but not limited to):
• design review
• manufacturing certification
• material certification
• witnessed testing
Price and delivery will probably be affected and a new quotation should be requested. Equipment by other
manufacturers will generally be affected in the same way.

Special Terms & Conditions of Purchase

Warranty: National Oilwell Varco (Seller) warrants its goods against defects in material and workmanship only, under normal
use and service for a period of twelve months from the date the same are first put into operation, and, in any
event, for not more than eighteen months after the date of tender of delivery, to the extent that Seller will furnish
parts without charge, at point of manufacture, to replace any parts, which, within set period of time, Seller’s
investigation shows were defective when delivery was tendered, provided written notice has been given Seller
immediately upon the discovery of such defect, and Seller reserves the right of requiring the return of defective
parts to the point of manufacture, transportation prepaid, before any claim is considered.

Or Seller may, at its option, if claim is allowed, pay buyer for such parts at the prices prevailing therefore at the
time goods were invoiced to Buyer. Goods or part thereof, of other manufactures are guaranteed only in
accordance with the manufactures guarantee, and then only to the extent that the Seller is able to enforce it. No
claims for labour, transportation, special, indirect, or consequential damages, will be allowed.

Only provided that:

a. Only genuine parts are used and the pump is operated within normal operating procedures.
b. National Oilwell Varco long-term storage instructions are strictly adhered to for periods of storage exceeding three
months.

All warranty claims must be accompanied by a customer supplied purchase order.

Price Basis: Prices quoted are net, domestic packed

Validity: The prices quoted would remain valid and open for acceptance, for a period of thirty (30) days from the date of
this quotation.
Payment: Unless otherwise advised in writing, Payment Terms will be net 30 days.

Delivery: The equipment offered in this bid would be available within (see quote) weeks Ex-Works (EXW) Windfern Plant,
Houston, TX, U.S.A., and / or return of approval drawings (if required) and / or acceptable Line of Credit.

Note: Delivery is an estimate only and is based on the availability of material on the issue date of this quotation.
National Oilwell Varco reserves the right to change the delivery date to conform to the availability of
material on the date an order is entered for production, and will not accept penalty charges based on
estimated delivery promises.
Cancellation: In the event of the buyer terminates for convenience and without cause, all or any part of the order, the
compensation to National Oilwell Varco shall be as follows:

(i) National Oilwell Varco’s costs, including overhead and a ten percent (10%) profit, of performing the
terminated work up to the date of termination, and
(ii) National Oilwell Varco’s expenses resulting from termination including, without limitation, any costs of
terminating National Oilwell Varco's obligations to third parties and costs of transferring to buyer all
requested materials and equipment.

Consisting of the following
Qty Description

1 Tank:
System includes 15-barrel (630-gallon) rectangular, crimped-wall, closed-steel tank with water
level indicator, drain and bolted removable top. Tank has 2” fill connection, 8” atmospheric
vent and 4” 150# ANSI flange return connection. Tank interior is coated with high-build epoxy-
based paint. Bolted removable top allows better initial inside coating and re-coating, if
necessary. Suction pipe includes baffle plate to prevent a possible vortex condition in the tank.
3” temperature gauge is included on side of the tank for local monitoring.

2 Pump Packages:
3x2x13 Mission Magnum with a hard iron liquid end, 12” impeller to provide 175 GPM @ 150
Ft. Hd., with tungsten carbide mechanical seal for no leakage at stuffing box. Pump mounted
on an Oilfield base with Woods flexible style coupling, OSHA type coupling guard and a 25
HP, 1800 RPM, 284T-Frame, Class 1-Group D, Ex-Proof electric motor, 460V/3Φ/60Hz with
Class “F” insulation, rated for 55°C Ambient, T3C temperature code, IP55, with 220V space
heaters. Motor features include all cast iron construction, 1.15 service factor. Base and guard
are primed and unit is painted with high solid two-part polyurethane topcoat.

1 Heat Exchanger:
APV model HEAPV-63SS plate and frame heat exchanger equipped with 63 - 0.5 mm thick
Stainless Steel plates fitted with nitrile rubber clip in gaskets; single-pass carbon steel frame
includes 3”, 150# ANSI studded connections with Stainless Steel liners; design pressure of
150 psi @ 275 ̊F; unit construction in complete compliance with ASME Section Vlll, Div. 1 with
Stamp.

Piping:
The unit has 3” and 4” valves with 4” pump suction and 3” discharge piping to the heat
exchanger. There are check valves in each pump discharge so all butterfly valves can be left
open and either pump started without water pumping back through the second pump. The two
pumps are piped to allow 100% pump standby and either pump can be removed for repair.

Standard Features:
2-½” Pressure gauges are included on the inlet and the outlet of the heat exchanger piping to
monitor pressure through the exchanger and aid in determining the need for maintenance. All
piping ports are labeled for identification purposes. A 3” temperature gauge is included on
water returning to brake for local monitoring.

1 Skid:
Equipment unitized on a National Oilwell Varco heavy I beam oilfield break over type skid.
Skid is deck plated and seal welded.

Paint:
Base and tank are sandblasted and 3-part coated with inorganic zinc, high-build epoxy primer
and urethane topcoat. Unit is painted RAL 5005 Signal Blue.

Comments & Clarifications

1. National Oilwell Varco recommends 4” piping between the BCU skid and the brake.
2. Customer needs to ensure maximum of 60 psi at brake.
3. Cooling unit was sized using 85°F Cooling water and 50/50 Water + Glycol mixture.
4. No testing has been included.

Safety Protection Package

The safety equipment is fully integrated into the package, including wiring. Customer supplies single-phase
120V, 60 Hz. power only. The safety protection package consists of the following equipment:

Explosion Proof Indicator Control Panel:

Panel has three green lights, three red lights and an on/off switch. The green or red lights indicate
temperature, water level and flow. Panel is wired to instrumentation and mounted to skid.

Explosion Proof Temperature Gauge:

Reads temperature on the face and can be set in the field to send a signal to the control panel when the
temperature reaches the set temperature.

Explosion Proof Low-Level Alarm:

Sends a signal to the control panel when the water level drops to level setting.

Explosion Proof Flow Indicator:

Indicator is mounted in the discharge piping with a paddle in the flow stream. When the pump is started, the
paddle will trip the switch assuring that the fluid is flowing. No-flow will trigger the alarm at the control panel.

Explosion Proof Horn:

Provides sonic warning when any of the three alarms are triggered. Horn can be silenced at the control panel.
