In this section there are FOUR scenarios you have to respond all FOUR scenarios, you can
combine different conjugations, present future, past, present perfect, etc, however there have
to be at least with at least 5 conditional sentences (affirmative, negative or even interrogative),
in each paragraph you compose there should be no less than 50 words, and the most
important is your creativity and originality to respond to each scenario.

SCENARIO 1 A marketing strategy.-

If you were a Marketing Manager for a National Corporation and if you were given 20,000 USD
for a marketing campaign; consider that would have to use all that money to promote the
product (or service) of the company you work for, please, mention at least three ways to spend
that money. (Do not forget to use auxiliaries would/could/might)------

WHAT WOULD I DO IF I HAD $20,000.00? I would use that money for create a marketing
campaign, first I could take pictures that link the concept of the product with something that
impress people, I think that an announce on social networks might also work, people could feel
identified if we highlight the Mexican allegory and our traditions, if people paid attention to that
our sales would increase.
SCENARIO 3 Owner of a TV Network
If you were the president of a TV Network for instance (Televisa / CNN / OnceTV / ESPN /
Azteca /...)
a) What would you do to increase Culture in Mexico population?
b) What programs, series, movies or TV commercials would you eliminate in order to diminish
ignorance?

It could be a difficult decision...or maybe not! The first thing I would do is eliminate all
these programs that promotes ignorance and manipulate the viewers,”la rosa de
guadalupe” would be the first, then all that series that promote admiration to the violence
and trafficking, that might be the best idea, If I had the power of decision I would propose
documentaries and films that narrate historical events, I think it would be a good idea to
hire youtubers ; if they traveled over mexico they could prepare reports about the villages,
food and everything related to the diversity of our country.

SCENARIO 4 Being an HR Manager under pressure

If you were the Human Resources Manager at a big company (5,000 employees in
Mexico) and if you were notified that there is an imminent company downsizing, so
you have to come up with a plan for cost reduction. What strategies would you
suggest to the executives of the corporation (you may consider to include a
workforce layoff)?
If I’d be in that situation I would probably consider firing employees as a final strategy, the
workers might shorten their journal, if they get angry I’d explain that this schedule
strategy it’s only momentary, that way they won’t be out of work and we would save a
percentage of the pay roll, sellers could be trained to find new markets and strategies to
help them improve, finally, I would meet with the other areas and together we could look
for news launches at low cost looking for diversify our products.
