1.

Main activities associated with learner support are:

 Scaffolding: Throughout education, scaffolding refers to a range of teaching methods used to gradually push
Students towards more understanding and, eventually, greater freedom in the learning process.
 Feedback: It's about actively listening, taking the time to analyze and then thinking about the best possible
solution to do better. It gives positive criticism and allows students and teachers to see what they can
change to improve their focus and results.
 Counselling: Counselling is the contribution of the school or other institution's personal services to the solution of
the student's problems related to their school performance and activities as well as to monitor
student’s struggles as well as success.
 Other Students: These are students who are actively involved in the institutional support system. They may be a direct
or indirect beneficiary of the learner support. They are relevant in assessing whether the said support
system in the school is working well or not or need to have some improvement.

2. What are the changes in learner support now that we are in the digital age?

 The digital technology advancements paved way to more convenient and easy access in learner support. These digital
innovations have allowed learners to choose what, how and when to learn with appropriate assistance, guidance and
connection with the institutional personnel as well as teachers. This customized learning that suits student’s individual tastes
and needs and preferred approaches with culture-sensitive as well as self-directed.

3. In general, write down your learner support plan which you can implement in your institution. Back this up with lessons
learned from this course.

 Based from what I have learned from this course, the learner support plan which I could implement in our institution is more
on the learner’s weekly blended learning activities which is more on a scaffolding approach. The purpose of this plan is to
provide a description of the teaching strategies and supports to enhance the student's commitment to learning and academic
success related to the study programme. The weekend analysis and feedback should assess how well these instructional
approaches and resources are working for the student as basis for counselling. Student growth and progress are well
documented on the process in the said learner support plan.
