SWOT ANALYSIS
ACTIVITIES AND PROGRAMMES ARTS AND CRAFT

Based on the visitation of tourist, i feel that the tourist are

very passive with their participant. Introducing activities
such as arts and craft will push the users to become more
active with participants. Moreover, they can learn the
traditional way of crafting hand on. Arts and crafts lessons
such as wayang kulit, wau, batik, basket making, wood
carving and chinese sewing can be organised
ACTIVITIES AND PROGRAMMES CAFETERIA AND KIOSK FACILITY

Cafeteria and kiosk facility are proposed to the building. Cafeteria serving local
delicacies can attract many tourist to the building. Furthermore, a souvenir shop selling
products of the arts and crafts class can help with the income management of the
building. Kiosk selling daily necessities can make walking-by pedestrians stop by and
experience the building.
ACTIVITIES AND PROGRAMMES BOAT TERMINAL

With the current situation whereby the river is being cleaned, i propose a public boat transport while making stops along the
river. Many attractive stops can be placed on the waterfront of tourist spots. This can ease the traffic congestion of the road
while at the same time allow users to experience our traditional river transportation. Other activities such as fishing, bbq, sight
viewing, boardwalk, jogging and cycling can be done there.
ACTIVITIES AND PROGRAMMES PUBLIC PARK

Public park is proposed outside the building to create an effective public space which attracts people from all the
different nodes. Since greeneries are lacking in the site, planting of various trees and flowers are planted to enhance
the appearance of the site. Here multiple activities such as cycling, playing frisbee, roller skating, picnic and playing in
the water fountain are found. It is to strengthen the bonds of users.

create rich spaces to integrate the exhibition and tour
-Interpreting courtyards as elements
The design is intended to combine two independent volumes of
museum and research center. Two L-shaped volumes are combined
with each extended wall

Each courtyard stands out with unique spatial features and landscape
theme which will penetrate into the interior architectural space in order
to create a sense of infinite within limited square meters.
Connecting old with new Attaining the meaning
- using traditional slope roof based on the modern interpretation. -Material selection for the Himalayan museum and research
- brings traditional design with modern architecture to symbolize the center are guided by color and texture to maintain the simple
heritage and tradition of the site sense in the traditional residences of Sichuan
-The main form of the museum are both solemn and sedate,
and the facade design is more inclined to the composition of
traditional residential buildings’ street elevation.
VISUAL IMPACT CONNECTIVITY

- void side courtyard make all space a whole Interesting design of facade encourages viewers The bridge connecting research center and exhibition hall
