(a) Fig. 1.1 shows an experimental setup to investigate the effect of different
temperatures on the activity of amylase on starch. Tubes A, B and C were
subjected to 20 degree Celcius, 35 degree Celcius and 65 degree
Celcius respectively.

before starting the stopwatch. Solution turned blue upon addition of iodine. The
time taken for the tubes to turn from blue to brown was recorded in Table 1.2.
