This letter serves as your formal notification that Belden is discontinuing the Hirschmann SPIDER II 16TX EEC and
SPIDER II 16TX/2DS-S EEC switches.

The SPIDER II 16TX EEC and SPIDER II 16TX/2DS-S EEC switches contain components which have become
obsolete. Belden has a limited stock of these devices that will last until final delivery date (June 30, 2020).

The already available SPIDER III Premium Line high port family is the recommended replacement part for the
SPIDER II 16TX EEC and SPIDER II 16TX/2DS-S EEC switches, as it provides the functions and solutions you
gained from the SPIDER II 16TX EEC and SPIDER II 16TX/2DS-S EEC switches being discontinued.
