A. Requirements for Coins.ph Account Verification

Level 1 - email address or mobile number

Level 2 - Government ID and Selfie while holding up the ID.

Level 3 - Document/s as proof of Address (e.g. Bank statement, Credit card billing statement
Utility bill, Mobile phone bill etc)

Level 4 - Level 4 accounts provide custom limits for customers who require transaction limits beyond those
offered in Level 3.  To apply for custom limits please read here.

Custom transaction limits lets you use your Coins.ph account to transact at levels higher than the
standard verification tiers we offer. If approved for custom limits, you’ll receive higher daily, monthly,
and annual limits for transacting with your Coins.ph account.

To be approved for custom limits, we will need to review some additional information about how you’re
using your Coins.ph account.  We’ll ask you to fill out a Custom Limits Request Form, which asks for
information about how you use your account, as well as documentation showing the source of your
funds.

Once this have been submitted we will review your request and respond within 5 business days.

B. Reporting scam or fraudulent activity

Reporting any suspected instances of fraudulent activity or scams is extremely important. This will protect you
and your account and will help us to resolve any concerns as quickly as possible.
What could constitute fraudulent activity:

 Unauthorized activity on your Coins.ph account


 Fake Coins.ph emails or spoof websites
 Items not received or a potential fraudulent seller
 Participation in unlicensed investment schemes

Please follow the steps below:


Step 1: Report this to us
Please get in touch with us immediately at  help@coins.ph or you can call us at our helpline: 8692-2829
Step 2: Fill in our complaint form.  
It’s very important that you fill this out so that we will not miss any relevant information that would help us in
investigating the reported case. Please provide proof of payment, relevant information and screenshots of
conversations or any other materials that would help us understand what happened. Once you have submitted
the above information we will be investigating your concern and giving you an update within 3 business days.
Step 3: Report this incident to the authorities
Should you wish to pursue this case, including claiming any funds back, the next step would be to report this
incident to the authorities. We would be more than willing to coordinate with them and provide any information
they request from us after we receive a letter Requesting for Information (RFI)
As a reminder, Coins.ph is a digital payments platform, and thus, we cannot provide dispute resolution
recourse or refunds. Payments are final and irreversible.
 
Why can’t we share information directly to you
Due to our Privacy Policy, we cannot share user information directly to you. We would need a formal letter
(official Request for Information) from the authorities to share information. With an official letter, we would be
able to share the relevant information that we might have gathered about the reported incident, as outlined in
our Privacy Policy. We will cooperate to resolve any reports and concerns, to maintain the safety of the
platform.
Please exercise vigilance when transacting online. Be wary of unauthorized and unlicensed investment
schemes claiming to offer quick or guaranteed returns.
Lastly, being aware of the different advisories issued by government agencies in the Philippines like the
Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas or BSP and the Securities and Exchange Commission or SEC is beneficial when
reporting scams or fraudulent activity. You may refer to this page here for our list of advisories by the SEC.
