∆V p0 = precharge pressure
for adiabat transformation V0 =
(p0 / p1)0,7143 - (p0 / p2)0,7143 p1 = min working pressure
p2 = max working pressure
∆V = volume of accumulated or
∆V released fluid
for isothermic transformation V0 = V0 = volume of nitrogen at p0

4 HEAT EXCHANGERS
4.1. MODEL CODE OF WATER COOLED HEAT EXCHANGERS
X-RE – 301 ** /*
X-RE = Water cooled heat exchangers Synthetic fluids:
(4 passages circuit) /WG = water-glycol
/PE = phosphate ester
Size:
200, 301, 302, 502 Design number
Assembly position With longitudinal axis in horizontal and by fixing it by means of its feets
Recomended oil flow and dissipated power:
X-RE-200 20 ÷ 70 l/min 2,5 ÷ 5,5 kW
X-RE-301 55 ÷ 125 l/min 7,5 ÷ 15 kW
X-RE-302 65 ÷ 155 l/min 13 ÷ 20 kW
X-RE-502 85 ÷ 220 l/min 15 ÷ 37 kW
- oil temperature = 60 °C
- water temperature = 20 °C The oil flow rates indicated on the table are suggested for the best performance. A lower oil flow rate
(for different temperatures see the conversion factor below) causes a drop of efficiency while an increasing of flow over the max indicated causes an increase of
- water flow = 1 l/min for each kW to be dissipated pressure drop, without improving its efficiency.
Water temperature 20 °C 25 °C 30 °C 35°C
Conversion factor 1 0,88 0,75 0,65
Max pressure (oil and water ) 12 bar
Hydraulic connections On return line of the system. It is recommended to protect the heat exchanger against pressure peaks
in the line by means of a by-pass valve setted at 4 ÷ 5 bar
Commissioning In relation to the calcareous contents in water, a periodic cleaning of the tubes of the heat exchanger is
necessary.
The control and cleaning is very easy by disassembling the X-RE heads.
Fluid Hydraulic oil as per DIN 51524...535, for other fluids, consult our technical office.
Fluid contamination class ISO 19/16 (filters at 25 mm value with ß25 > 75 recommended).
Recommended viscosity 15 ÷ 100 mm2/sec at 40°C (ISO VG 15 ÷ 100)
