1.The second angle of a triangle is 4 times as large as the first.

The third angle is 45˚ less than the sum of the two other angles.
Find the measure of each angle.
Formula:
180=x1+x2+x3 22.5˚

Solution:
180=x+4x+(4x+x)-45
180=5x+(5x)-45
180=10x-45 90˚ 67.5˚

225=10x
X=22.5
Angle 1= 22.5˚
Angle 2= 90˚
Angle 3= 67.5˚
2. In an isosceles triangle, the length of the third side is 25% of
the length of one of the equal sides. Find the length of each side
when the perimeter is 135ft.

Formula:
P=a+b+c

Solution:
Let X be the two equal sides.
Let 0.25X be the other side
60ft.
135=2X+0.25X 60ft.
135=2.25X
X=60

Side 1=60
Slide 2=60
Slide 3=0.25 x 60= 15

3.A tennis racket regularly sells for P1680 is on sale 25% off the
regular price. Find the sale price.
1680-(1680 x 0.25)
1680-420 P1260
1260
4. How many millimeters of pure chocolate must be added to

A r Q
50% 150 .50 75
100% X 1 X
75% 150+x .75 .75(150+x)

.75(150+x)-75=X

37.5=0.25X
X=150 mL

5.Two buses travelling toward each other, left from two stations
that are 750 miles apart at 4pm. If the rate of bus A is 73 mph
and the rate of bus B is 77 mph, at what time will they pass each
other?
rate time distance
Bus A 73 mph t 73t
Bus B 77 mph t 77t
73t+77t=750
150t=750
T=5
Therefore, they will pass each other at 9:00 PM

73 mph
