skill in speaking need to be improved.
The mean of their speaking skill was 46,14 from 44 students at

eleventh grade in the first semester of academic year 2012/2013. For
the second semester, the mean of their speaking score was 50,6. From
the mean of the speaking score in the first semester, there were three

It means that only 6,8 % students who passed at the competency of
asking and expressing opinion. From the data above, it can be
concluded that students’ achievement in speaking had decreased
significantly

students did not master the parts of speaking skill well yet. It can be identified
during the learning process and giving speaking test in both mid semester and
final semester test. From 24 students in the class, the results of test shows that
only 2 students got Excellent (8.3%), 4 students got good (16.6%), and the
others got poor (75%)
