MDRRMC REPORT

4th Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill

I. SITUATION OVERVIEW:

It seeks to educate and test the public on disaster preparedness against earthquakes, the Local
Government Unit of Libertad  headed by Hon. Mary Jean N. Te- Municipal Mayor conducted
Earthquake Drill. The conduct was participated by more than 200 individuals and was led by
personnel from Libertad MDRRMO headed by Mr. Robert G. Nicopior,Enp., Libertad MPS
headed by PLT Joje J. Gania, Bfp Libertad Fire Station headed by SFO2 Joriz c. Timonera, and
Coast Guard Sub-Station Libertad headed by PO1 Ferdinand N. Braga PCG.

II. DISASTER PREPAREDNESS AND RESPONSE

 200 individuals performed the “duck, cover and hold” technique.
 All drill participants assembled in a safe area where team leaders then checked if there
are missing or injured.
 The incident commander and calling heads of offices (PNP, BFP, PCG, MDRRMO) by
handheld radio to report on the status of their personnel, how many trapped “victims”
needed to be rescued, treated, and attended to.
 6 personnel of PNP assigned in securing the area where the drill participants
assembled. 
 7 personnel of BFP guided the individuals, way to the safe area.
 PCG assissted responder in extrication and guided also the individuals
 Quick response and rescued by the MDRRMO responder on the employee trapped
inside, while BFP, Police, PCG secured the area.
 Stabilize and extricate victims from hot zone to safe area, immediate assessment were
made and tranport the victim.
