Shaun-qiang Xumao-hong Yu[1] Most previous studies on shakedown of thick walled

cylinders were based on the assumptions that the compressive and tensile strength of the material
were identical. In these paper shakedown of an internally pressurized cylinder made of a material
with a strength difference and intermediate stress difference and intermediate principle stress
effect is delta with by using a unfiede strength criteria. Through an elasto-plastic analysis the
solutions for the loading stresses, residual stresses, elastic limit plastic limit and shake down
limit of the cylinder are derived. It is shown that the present solutions includes the classical
plasticity solutions has special cases and have the ability to account for the strength difference
and intermediate principle stress effects. Finally, the influences of two effects are neglected as in
classical plasticity solutions based on tresca criterion.

M.H.Hojjiti and A.Hossani[2]The optimum autofrettage pressure and the optimum radius
o the elastic plastic boundary of strain hardening in plane strain and plane stress have been
studied theoretically and the finite element modeling Equivalent von-mises stress is used as
yield autorettage pressure in plane stress ,the equation or plane strain can be used with good
accuracy ,It as also been observed that the optimum autofettage pressure is not a constant value
but depends on working pressure.

M.Imaninejad & G.subhash[3]In this paper, a closed solution for the elasto plastic stress
,strain, and displacement component o an internally pressurized open-ended thick walled
cylinder made of a strain hardening material is obtained by using deformation theory of hecky
and the yield criterion of von mises and choosing stress component as basic unknowns. On the
basis of plastic power law plastic material model and modified nodais auxiliary pattern for the
elasto plastic analysis and the strength design of a strain hardening material opened ended thick
walled cylinder . it is shown that solution is a general one with on the one hand nodai known
solution for stress component and the other P.C.T che’s solution for stain component o a open
ended thick-walled cylinder made of elasto-perfectly-plastic material as its two specific cases.
The calculation formula for the plastic limit pressure of the cylinder given in the paper, which is
able to account for the strain hardening effect of material ,furnishes a new and more reasonable
theoretical basis for the strength design by plastic limit analysis and auto frottage design of an
open ended thick walled cylinder made of strain hardening material
