Do you agree or disagree: People who spend more than an hour a day on
social media are less happy than those who spend less time on social media

Some people tend to think that people who spend more than an hour a day on social
media are less happy than those who spend less time on social media, but I dissagree
with this notion. I consider that statement is a way of justification for people’s
unhappy lifes in a world where social media plays a socializing role.

Since social media showed up it has broke out different positions. At the beginning,
most of the people were enchanted with it and used it everytime, and after some time
it was no longer the “novelty” and people naturally decreased its use . Also, there was
always a little group against social media and the invasion they said it produced in
people lives.

Since I was a teenager, I spend quite more than an hour in social media and I do not
think my life is unhappier than anybody that use it less than me. I use it for fun, for
work, for my studies. It is so versatile that you can do whatever you want. It is not how
much time you use it, is how you use it.

I personally think that people in general do not know how social media works and how
to use it, and because of that they have misconceptions. If you believe all you see in
social media of couse you will have a miserable life as you probably could never have
what you see there. But, if in the contrary you use it in your benefit it can be a great
tool.

To sum up, I think that social media is not the responsable of being more or less happy
in our lifes. Is not that you do not have to look up to social media in order to have a
happier life. People should be mentaly balanced enough and not be affected of what
they see in social media and use it as a powerful tool. I refuse to think that spending
time in social media makes you less happy.
