How To Become An Agent?

1. Age: Completed 18 years.

2. Qualification: Minimum qualification of pass in 10th standard or equivalent examination
conducted by any recognized Board or Institution.
3. Training: Avail requisite 25 hours of pre-recruitment training given in our Divisional Office to
understand the Insurance Business.
4. Insurance Examination: Pass in examination with 35% marks to be conducted by the
Insurance Institute of India, Mumbai, or other body approved by IRDAI for 50 marks in 1 hour
on course IC-38.
5. Examination Fee: Fee for online pre-recruitment examination for individual agent has been
revised to RS 425/- plus GST with effect from 1st July 2017 payable to NSEIT.
