Learning Management System for KDDI Corporation

One of the proprietary LMS recommended is Blackboard Learn. Blackboard is a

business-grade LMS suitable for educational institutes, government agencies, and large

companies like KDDI corporation. The platform has a wealth of features that enable brands

to get granularity with how they create delivery and tracking of eLearning content. Other

features include user profiles, gamification, active collaboration, and integration with

DropBox and OneDrive (Govender & Moonsamy, 2018). Besides, it allows the retention of

information by employees and greatly improves their job performance and increases user

engagement by more than 20%. This undoubtedly creates a much more committed and

efficient staff. Also, the Blackboard Learn LMS is a much cheaper, safer, and more efficient

way of learning without resorting to traditional means.

One the other hand, the recommended open access LMS for KDDI corporation is

Moodle. It is widely used in the educational sector, but many companies also adopt the

software for their use. It has custom dashboards, calendars, file management, notifications,

and progress tracking (Trilaksono & Santoso, 2017). It also puts at a company’s disposal all

kinds of knowledge that it can simultaneously share with workers in real-time besides

ensuring easy learning regardless of the educational level, age, social condition, and

workplace in which one is working. Also, Moodle LMS is not limited by previously

established fixed schedules, but it allows one to learn at their own pace whenever they want

and instead of where they are.

Recommendation

Based on the above SWOT analysis, I would recommend KDDI corporation to use

Blackboard to learn, a proprietary LMS. The use of the Blackboard learning system is aimed

at the world of general education, and it helps users facilitate online learning and serves to

record and track student results. In a company or organization, the Blackboard learning

system allows it to build online learning experiences that promote product and industry

knowledge. Also, it allows compliance with the regulations and offers corporate training,

both internal and external.

The main function of Blackboard learn is helping workers to learn more easily about

any specific topic or area. Therefore, their uses are strictly educational but are tailored to

generate various extra benefits. Some companies may use Blackboard to learn LMS to

develop learning initiatives for their employees (Alokluk, 2018). However, in other cases,

these systems are aimed at external students regardless of whether they are partners,

suppliers, or simply clients. Besides, it can help employees who have moved or promoted to

accommodate their new role by training them in an easily accessible way and identifying

weaknesses in their staff as they fill communication gaps through reports that will tell the

company how its employees are.

Conclusion

Blackboard Learn will make learning more fun, engaging, and help KDDI corporation

employees better retain information. They will also be able to help the company's staff

become very familiar with their work processes and feel fully informed from the moment

they join the corporation until they retire or stop working. Because this learning method is

more interactive, Blackboard learn allows users to feel more comfortable using them, unlike

Moodle. Thanks to technological development and the creation of new and comfortable

digital platforms, users of any age, educational level, or social status can make use of

Blackboard learn easily and fun, which is not the case for Moodle.
